Wafflat was founded to allow landlords to save significantly on agency costs and to allow the current tenants to easily earn some money on the side.

We provide a seamless experience for both landlords letting their places and for renters finding their next spot.

For Landlords

As a landlord, you are not required to pay your current tenant anything before a new Tenancy Agreement is signed and the deposit from the new tenant arrives in your bank account.

After the new Tenancy Agreement is signed and you received the deposit, you will be required to offer a £60 fee, the majority of which will go to your current tenant that did the viewings. The payment will be done through an online payment link we provide. From this sum, £40 will go to your current tenant that did the viewings, while we’ll take £20 to cover our software and advertising costs. A £60 fee has to be paid for each new tenant brought in.

You and your current tenant sign up on Wafflat.

You send us your property’s details via email at [email protected] We can help with the photographs if you don’t already have them.

Your current tenant signs up and fills in their availability for viewings.

You send us your new Tenancy Agreement you would like your future tenant to sign (we will provide you with a template to fill in if you don’t already have one).

You don’t have to do anything else until the point that a new tenant is found.

You may choose to get involved in the process if you’d like to.

For Current Tenants

You will usually earn £40 for each new tenant that agrees to rent the place.

First, make sure that both you and your landlord have signed up on our platform.

After you signed up, you’ll have to fill in your “Availability for Viewings” on your profile. This information has to be up to date at all times.

After you filled this in, we’ll upload the property on the platform and start with the marketing.

Potential tenants will start booking viewings at your property, according to your availability for viewings. We’ll notify you via SMS and email for each viewing booked.

By signing up on our platform, we will be legally required to send you the payment once a new tenant is brought in.

We will provide your landlord with an online payment link after the deposit and new Tenancy Agreement is received.

Immediately after your landlord completes the payment, £40 will be transferred to your bank account.
